10 Ways to Stay Motivated

Are you always motivated? Do you lack inspiration because you feel stuck at times?

I believe it’s quite normal to not feel encouraged at times. As human beings some of us have a hard time waking up early in the morning, we may struggle to go work out the way we planned to or, simply commit to the things we would like to change. We may not get around to actually checking off our to-do list because often we procrastinate or, feel unmotivated. Staying encouraged is a way of challenging yourself to be disciplined while maintaining a positive outlook on how you approach your opportunities.





The saying goes, Procrastination is the thief of progress. Have you ever completed something you put off forever? Then you finally got around to completing the task that you've been postponing and, you find that it was super easy to accomplish? Every day is a new opportunity to find a new approach to set an action plan for staying inspired. I myself have to always find new ways to build energy, new perspectives, and new approaches as well so that I don’t get bored. So, I utilize planners, post-it notes, write in journals and, use cool apps to stay on track to get things done, by any means necessary. There is a multitude of ways to start keeping yourself inspired and, I will share with you a list of 10 ways to stay motivated in your daily lifestyle.



10 Ways To Stay Motivated

  1. Pray / Meditate - Find the to time to practice whatever spiritual source brings you peace of mind and solitude.

  2. Eat well & exercise- Staying physically active releases stress, increases energy, and keeps physical bodily functions optimized. Keeping at 30 min of cardio, or stretching can greatly improve your overall vitality.

  3. Read - Reading books on self-improvement, your career field or, other interest you may have can give you a fresh insight on what you would already do or, would like to do.

  4. Research - There is a ton of way out there to keep your skills sharp. No matter what your interest is, there are many platforms such as blogs, vlogs, tutorials, online courses, and podcasts that are great resources out there to keep the mind updated.

  5. Partner - We all need a gentle nudge every now and then. Grab an accountability partner. You can make sure each of you follows through on whatever it is that you set out to do.

  6. Music- Create a playlist of songs that uplift your spirits when your energy or inspiration is low.

  7. Write It Out- Keeping a list of goals is great. But, if there is no action plan in place behind your intentions it will just be a list. Break down your list into actionable micro and macro goals. Commit to doing at least one thing off your list a day.

  8. Vision Board- I love making vision boards at least twice a year. Get a stack of magazines, cut out aspirations, hopes, dreams, desires, goals, and, the overall vision for your life. Then, add it all to a poster board. Post my vision board in a place that you will be able to see daily as a reminder.

  9. Take a break- If that means taking a social media break, or taking a break from your crew. Take a break from whatever it is that may drain you is beneficial for your mental health. Burn out is real. Sometimes you need to recharge. So, and, take a stay-cation or, vacation. There is nothing like feeling refreshed and, ready to go!

  10. Reward - Show yourself some love for the small wins and, the big wins that you achieve. There is nothing wrong with treating yourself for all of your efforts and hard work. Do something fun! Buy something nice for yourself! Congratulate yourself for sticking to your goals.
